One thing I can truly say without hesitation or reservation is that I’m thankful and grateful to the Almighty Lord for placing a mentor, a coach, a guide, but most of all a “Man” of your character in my life and the life of so many other young people mainly “Boys” during their most pivotal years. The years as we were navigating the journey of life, quickly approaching the crossroads of the right or wrong path of living all while we were changing from adolescence into adulthood. There you were, standing in the gap for countless young black men, who were fatherless, a traffic cop pointing us to the right path. Some took heed and some didn’t, some  went down the wrong path and swiftly turned around and got back on the right path all because of you and other Men like you to include “ Coach Barry” “Coach Raymond” last but certainly not least “Coach Montgomery”. Although I have arrived at nearly sixty years of living you are still there every day mentoring guiding and coaching me with your words of wisdom and encouragement. So as I close I say it “LOUD” I say it Proud that I am Thankful to God for you “Coach” Enjoy your day today, Enjoy your family
